However, if you don’t own an air fryer and would still love to try this recipe, you can easily roast the potatoes and sausages together in the oven following the same instructions as the air fryer. Related recipe: How to cook sausages in the oven. Kielbasa sausages: these are precooked Polish sausages, they are smoky, juicy, and delicious. If you can’t find this type if sausage where you live, feel free to use any other smoked sausages such as chorizo. For a healthier version sub with turkey or chicken kielbasa. Onion: I used brown onion for its sweetness but you can use any type and color of onions you want. All-purpose seasoning, I used my homemade all-purpose seasoning and it contains onion granules, garlic granules, thyme, parsley and oregano, and smoked paprika. Garlic granules: substitute with garlic powder, fresh garlic might burn depending on how you cut so, I wouldn’t recommend it. Salt and pepper Peel and dice the potatoes into small bite-sized cubes and add them to a large bowl of cold water. Rinse the potatoes a few times under cold running water until the water is clear. Pat the potatoes dry with a kitchen towel and transfer them to a large bowl. Season the potatoes with all purpose seasoning, garlic granules, salt, black pepper, and half of the olive oil. Mix or toss to combine. Add the seasoned potatoes to the preheated air fryer basket and air fry for 10-12 minutes shaking the basket halfway. The potatoes should be fork-tender and about 90-95% done at this point. While the potatoes are cooking, slice the kielbasa on bias and about 1-2cm thick, and chop the onions into big chunks. Separate the onions if you could then transfer them to a bowl along with the kielbasa, add the remaining olive oil and mix to combine. Add the sausages and onions to the potatoes and carefully mix to combine. Continue to air fry for another 5-8 minutes flipping halfway.
